Red Beryl Consulting

The complex work, with the numbers attached.

Fractional leadership and the Intelligence Engine for owner-operated businesses that have outgrown gut feel and are not ready to hand the keys to a consultancy that has never made payroll.

Not an agency. Not a dashboard.

An operator on your side of the table.

Agencies are paid to spend your budget. Software is paid to show you charts. Neither is accountable for whether the business made money. Red Beryl Consulting sits on your side of the table, asks the questions your vendors would rather you did not, and is measured on the same numbers you are.

Every engagement starts with the Intelligence Engine, because advice without visibility is guessing with better vocabulary. Red Beryl is based in Atlanta, Georgia and works with owner-operated businesses across the Southeast and nationally.

Six advisory areas

  • Fractional CMO leadership. A CMO-level operator embedded in your leadership team, reporting in the language of revenue, not impressions.
  • Growth strategy. Where growth will come from, in what order, and what it will cost, built from your own data.
  • Executive advisory. A standing advisor for acquisitions, market entry, leadership hires, agency changes, and what to stop doing.
  • Customer experience. How customers find you, buy from you and come back, measured at every step.
  • Revenue optimization. Pricing, conversion, lifecycle marketing and sales process, tuned together.
  • Transformation planning. New locations, new systems, a new generation of ownership, a consolidation.

“Before Red Beryl we had every system a retailer is supposed to have, and none of them talked to each other. Marketing reported leads, the stores reported sales, and nobody could connect the two. Red Beryl connected them across all 11 stores. And Nick works for us, not for the vendors. He asks the questions our agencies never wanted asked.”

Case study · International Diamond Center

Seeing 11 stores as one business.

Client: International Diamond Center, Clearwater, Florida. 11 showrooms from Tampa Bay to Savannah. Engagement: fractional CMO and the Intelligence Engine, ongoing.

The challenge

International Diamond Center had every system a modern retailer is supposed to have: Google Ads, Meta, Klaviyo for email and SMS, CallRail for call tracking, a point-of-sale system holding decades of customer history, and Google Business Profiles for every store. What it did not have was any connection between them. Marketing reported leads. Stores reported sales. Nobody could say which marketing produced which sale, whether a phone call became an appointment, or when a customer who bought an engagement ring would come back for the wedding band.

The approach

Red Beryl took the fractional CMO seat and started with the Intelligence Engine rather than a new campaign. The first job was to connect what already existed: call tracking to the website forms, the POS to the email platform, ad platforms to actual store revenue rather than platform-reported conversions. The second job was to read the connected data for the decisions inside it.

What was built

  • A custom attribution system that deduplicates CRM and call data and assigns a revenue source to roughly nine in ten digitally driven sales.
  • Every call and web form routed to the right store and tracked from first contact to sale.
  • A live sync between the point-of-sale system and Klaviyo, so marketing runs on real purchase history.
  • Bridal, fashion, diamond and combined dashboards that show managers who to contact today and why.
  • Search, ads and review intelligence across all 11 markets.

The key insight

With purchase history connected, the business could see for the first time when its customers come back. Among 11,760 customers who bought both an engagement ring and a wedding band, four in ten bought the band the same day as the ring. Two-thirds had bought within six months, four in five within a year. Two stores were capturing the band almost only at the ring counter, with no recovery afterward. That one view changed how associates present the band at the engagement sale, and how the follow-up is timed.

The way in

Every engagement starts with the Full SignalCheck.

Before we recommend anything, we run the complete SignalCheck: Presence, Competitor, Radio and Attribution, plus a Google Ads account review and a vendor and contract rate review. You get three ranked decisions in writing and a 45-minute working session. If the numbers say you do not need us after that, we say so.

Full SignalCheck, starting at $1,000
  • SignalCheck Attribution: every call matched to a completed sale
  • SignalCheck Radio: station logs against website response and branded search
  • Google Ads account review: wasted spend and broken conversion tracking
  • Vendor and contract rate review against real benchmarks
  • Three ranked decisions and a 45-minute working session
